The Broker — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that is a few months old, the breadth is broad.
What You Trade On
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That would be a good addition once it is live.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
This is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Should you care? If you scalp, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That is something about priorities.
Combine those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
Regulation
Now, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But inform how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
